Skills And Competencies

4+ years of experience in an analytics, data science, or business intelligence role
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to independently structure approaches to open-ended questions
Proficiency in SQL and experience with analytical tools such as Power BI or Tableau
Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage and align multiple stakeholders
Proven ability to translate complex data into business insights and recommendations
Experience with Python for data analysis or automation tasks.
Experience using Alteryx or similar data transformation tools (preferred)
Familiarity with cloud-based analytics technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or similar platforms (preferred)
Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments and a background in financial reporting (preferred)
Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency
Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use

Education

Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of analytical solutions by independently identifying problems, designing methodologies, and executing analyses.

Engage with stakeholders to understand business questions, define success criteria, and scope analytical projects appropriately.
Proactively propose approaches and frameworks to solve ambiguous or complex problems using data.
Translate technical results into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences.
Manage stakeholder expectations by setting clear timelines, communicating risks, and ensuring transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate cross-functionally with data engineering, product, finance, and operations teams as needed.
Maintain a strong focus on delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision while prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $98,300.00 - $142,550.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
