The Opportunity:
Matrix MKTG is seeking a curious Data Analyst to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for extracting actionable insights from the wealth of data generated by our innovative experiential marketing campaigns. You will play a key role in understanding audience engagement, campaign effectiveness, and the overall impact of our experiences, ultimately helping us to create even more impactful and data-driven activations for our clients. Responsibilities:
- Design and implement data collection methodologies across various experiential marketing initiatives (e.g., event attendance, digital interactions, social media engagement, survey responses).
- Clean, transform, and analyze large primary and secondary datasets to identify key trends, patterns, and correlations related to audience behavior and campaign performance.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and communicate findings to internal teams and clients in a clear and concise manner.
- Apply statistical modeling, machine learning techniques (where applicable), and data mining to uncover deeper insights and predict future trends related to experiential marketing effectiveness.
- Collaborate with strategy, creative, and account teams to understand campaign objectives and translate business questions into analytical frameworks.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize campaign design, targeting, and execution, leading to improved ROI and audience engagement.
- Evaluate the success and impact of experiential marketing campaigns, providing data-backed evidence of their effectiveness.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in data science, analytics, and marketing measurement.
- Contribute to the development of data-driven best practices and frameworks within the agency.
- Present findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior management and clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related area.
- 2+ years of experience in a data science or data analyst role, preferably within the marketing or advertising industry. Experience with experiential marketing data is a significant plus.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages.
- Experience with data visualization tools.
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression analysis, clustering).
- Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey data-driven stories to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A passion for understanding consumer behavior and the impact of marketing experiences.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing automation platforms is a plus.

Full-Time Position
Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000
