Senior Data Scientist
Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to lead the design and development of advanced machine learning and AI models within the healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for AI and research, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven track record of transforming complex data into actionable insights. This fully remote role requires a strong background in data science and extensive experience with AWS tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead the entire machine learning lifecycle from research and development to deployment and optimization.
- Design and develop advanced machine learning models, including predictive models, deep learning, NLP, and large language models (LLMs).
- Clean, preprocess, and analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends and patterns.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate models into our core products.
- Present findings, models, and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders using compelling data visualizations.
- Act as a technical leader and mentor, sharing knowledge and expertise with the team.
- Propose innovative data-driven strategies to solve key business challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Data Scientist, with a significant portion in the healthcare domain.
- Proven expertise in data mining and machine learning techniques, including deep learning, NLP, and the development of large language models.
- Extensive experience with AWS services, including Lambda, SageMaker, and S3.
- Strong programming proficiency in Python or R*, with hands-on experience using ML frameworks like TensorFlow* or PyTorch.
- Expertise with data science toolkits and libraries such as Scikit-learn, Pandas, and NumPy.
- Solid understanding of mathematical principles (statistics, algebra) and strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
