Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist with a strong background in healthcare and proficiency in Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques for one of our clients. The ideal candidate will have a knack for analysis, math, and statistics, and possess a passion for machine learning, natural language processing, and research. This fully remote role requires significant experience in data science and AI-driven solutions, particularly within the healthcare sector.
Responsibilities:
- Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes.
- Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data.
- Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns.
- Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms.
- Combine models through ensemble modeling.
- Present information using data visualization techniques.
- Propose AI-driven solutions and strategies to business challenges.
- Collaborate with engineering and product development teams.
- Lead the design and development of advanced AI models, including predictive models, natural language processing (NLP), and large language models (LLMs).
- Conduct comprehensive data analysis and model validation to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Optimize models for performance, efficiency, and scalability.
- Guide data collection processes, ensuring quality and relevance for model training.
- Act as a mentor and technical leader within the team, sharing knowledge and expertise.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Data Scientist, preferably in the healthcare domain.
- Proven experience in data mining and machine learning techniques, including deep learning, NLP, and large language models.
- Strong programming skills in Python, R*, or similar languages, and familiarity with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch*).
- Experience with data science libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy).
- Exposure to AWS tools such as Lambda, SageMaker, and S3 is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and complex data structures.
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning ecosystems and model deployment techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau) and data frameworks (e.g., Hadoop).
- Understanding of operations research principles.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
