At Coram AI, we’re reimagining video security for the modern world. Our cloud-native platform uses computer vision and AI to help businesses stay safe, make smarter decisions, and move faster; from real-time alerts to seamless clip sharing and multi-site visibility.
You’ll be joining a small, fast-moving team that values clarity, craftsmanship, and impact. Every person here has a voice, ships meaningful work, and helps shape how AI can make the world safer and more connected.
The role:
We’re seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to shape the core of Coram’s AI: turning data into intelligence that powers our platform in real time.
Responsibilities:
- Take an existing open-source Pytorch model, fine tune, productionize them in C++ runtime, and optimize for latency and throughput
- Take an open-source model and fine-tune them on our in-house data set as needed
- Design thoughtful experiments in evaluating the tradeoffs between latency and accuracy on the end customer use case
- Integrate the model with the downstream use case and fully own the end metrics
- Maintain and improve all existing ML applications in the product
- Read research papers and develop ideas on how they could be applied to video security use cases, and convert those ideas to working code
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field- advanced degrees are a plus
- Strong software engineering skills with experience writing production-grade code
- Solid machine learning fundamentals, including linear algebra, probability & statistics, and supervised/self-supervised learning
- Awareness of the latest trends in deep learning, including foundation models and LLMs; ability to read and interpret research papers
- Ability to thrive in challenging and fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English with the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of employees
- Ability to work in an onsite environment - we move quicker when we're in the same room
Nice-to-haves:
