The American Dental Education Association (ADEA) is seeking to add an experienced Data Analyst to our team of high-performing professionals.
Under the direction of the ADEA Office of Policy and Education (OPER), you will be responsible for analyzing, reporting, and ensuring data integrity across ADEA OPER data and associated platforms.
Primary Responsibilities
You will support the research programmatic activities of ADEA by fulfilling higher education and oral health data collection and analysis duties. This includes the following components:

Administer ADEA surveys, in collaboration with the Director of Institutional Research and the Senior Research Analyst.

Conduct data collection, processing, validation, and analysis for policy and institutional research projects and research requests.

Collect, clean, and analyze data through other methods than the survey format, such as censuses, administrative data collections, data scraping, etc.

Analyze ADEA survey data and data from other sources utilizing statistical methods, when appropriate.

Collaborate with OPER colleagues on automating data collection and processing and creating algorithms to make the analysis process more efficient.

Provide technical assistance to members as they complete ADEA surveys.

Monitor, track, and respond to data requests from both internal and external audiences.

Work with colleagues across ADEA on tasks and projects, as necessary.

Follow data privacy policies and comply with data protection regulations.

Conduct day-to-day business and operations, including the support of on-going research projects with the project leaders within the OPER team, with other units in the organization, and with external parties according to the protocol, guidelines and expectations set forth by the Chief Policy Officer (CPO) and ADEA leadership.
- For all member-related requests, data preparations, published materials, and presentations, must ensure that institutional and departmental policies and guidelines are followed.

Ensure open, efficient, and inclusive communication between the CPO and the rest of the OPER team. Work within and support a productive team environment that respects established supervisory protocols. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and professionalism at all levels of communication. Work collaboratively with the CPO towards the completion of additional tasks as assigned.

Successfully execute the assigned data analysis projects.

Successfully complete the validation of the data submitted to the 2022-23 ADEA Faculty Census.

Field an ADEA survey in Qualtrics.

Help with the Data Lake project.

A bachelor's degree and three years of analytical and survey software experience; or a master's degree and one year of relevant experience.

Dental education/medical education institutional research preferred.

Qualtrics (or comparable online survey platform) skills required, including extensive logic implementation through embedded fields and survey flow, display and skip logic as well as loop and merge, setting up email and contact list triggers.

Python, and MS Excel proficiency required.

SPSS, SQL knowledge preferred.

Working knowledge of statistics required.

Familiarity with data management, data cleaning, and data validation processes.

Attention to detail and meticulous focus on time-sensitive materials and activities.

Ability to keep a variety of tasks on time.

Desire to contribute on a daily basis within a highly collaborative project team environment that is deadline driven.

Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment and the ability to collaborate well with others from different backgrounds.

The work schedule for this position is a hybrid weekly schedule, 3 days in the DC office and 2 days work from home.
