Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer with strong expertise in C#, .NET, and Azure to join our team for a hybrid role based in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing, deploying, and maintaining software solutions, including integrations with hardware devices and cloud platforms. This is a contract position with a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology projects.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug, and document software applications following the software development lifecycle.
- Develop APIs using C#/.NET to interface with devices and cloud services.
- Deploy and maintain code on custom edge hardware and proprietary networks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review functional requirements and technical designs.
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews for Azure-based implementations.
- Maintain clear, detailed technical and operational documentation.
- Work on hybrid schedule: on-site Tuesday–Thursday, remote Monday and Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Proven hands-on development experience with C# and .NET frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services and deployments.
- Experience creating and maintaining APIs.
- Familiarity with integrating software solutions with hardware or IoT/edge devices.
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality code.
- Must be based in Houston, TX and able to work on-site part of the week.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS cloud services.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments.
- Background in working with proprietary hardware and networking systems.
