Job Title: Data Engineer
Location: Fort Worth, Texas/ Onsite
Duration: Full Time
What You Need for this Position:
- Preferred, but not required: a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, Mathematics, or related field
- 3-7+ years of Microsoft SQL Server experience and stable work history
- Must be able to work on location at our Fort Worth office
- Must be able to work a 50-hour work week
- Must be able to commit to at least 2 years in this role
What You Will Be Doing:
- Gathering requirements from financial professionals on data projects
- Data extraction and transform
- Architecture and maintenance of tables, stored procedures, triggers, UDFs, complex queries
- Regularly analyzing and optimizing performance of suboptimal queries
- Creation of tools necessary in data analysis including excel queries and macros
- Database maintenance including backups, maintenance plans, and security controls
- Showcase your creative mind and problem-solving skills
- Regular involvement in our internal training program. Grade SQL and other technical tests, and mentor trainees on best practices.
Interview Process:
First Level:
- Two-hour exercise consisting of a 60-minute subjective case study questionnaire and a 60-minute technical exercise related to the position.
Second Level:
- Teams interview with the IT Director.
Third Level:
- Onsite meeting – The candidate is required to spend a full day on-site, including a 4-hour conventional interview followed by a 5-hour role shadowing.
- The client will compensate $40 per hour for the shadow interview.
- If the candidate is flexible and interested, they may be asked to extend the shadowing period up to a week.
- For non-local candidates, costs such as hotel accommodation and meals will be covered.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $105,293.27 - $140,000.00 per year
