Role and Responsibilities
This position will support the People Analytics team and is responsible for providing key insights through data analysis. In doing so, this equips the Samsung Electronics America (SEA) HR (People Team) and business leaders across the enterprise in better understanding workforce trends and the impact of HR programs. Furthermore, these analyses help business leaders make informed decisions based on evidence in data across people and in competing in the external market.

Supports the execution of an Annual and Quarterly Analytics plan to enable SEA 3-year HR strategy and annual Action plan

Provides consistent tracking and analysis of key performance metrics to provide business leaders with actionable insights

Integrates business performance and market forecasting into workforce planning to ensure headcount allocation is aligned with business growth priorities.

Delivers regular reporting and data visualizations that include, but are not limited to: workforce planning reports across business divisions, Succession planning, Leadership & Development reports, Talent review data, and workforce trend dashboards.

Supports the team with the ability to analyze, forecast, and showcase the impact of HR programs on turnover, retention, and key measures throughout the employee life-cycle.

Partners with our various Centers of Excellence & stakeholders to enhance organizational processes for business efficiency

Synthesizes and visualizes insights from data
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
-
Advanced Excel skills and formulas are critical.

Strong PowerPoint skills.

Experience using Data visualization tools, including Tableau
-
Background in a non-HR job function is a plus, but not required
-
Exceptional communication and written skills, with the ability to present findings to a non-technical audience.

Knowledge of at least one of the following: Python, R, SQL

Knowledge of Alteryx
-
Strong understanding of statistical methods and their application in the business context.

Demonstrated ability to approach ad-hoc reports and then translate them into complex data with actionable insights

Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business, Human Resources, or a related area of study and 2+ years of relevant experience is required OR Master’s in a related field, with 1 years of relevant work experience.

The hourly range for this role is expected to be between $49.76 and $51.68. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
