About Visionairy
Visionairy is building an AI-enabled analytics platform for eye care practices. We've raised pre-seed capital and are launching pilots with practices totaling 60+ eye doctors next month. Founded by a Yale-trained ophthalmologist with experience building AI applications, we're passionate about transforming eye care and reducing blindness through technology.
The Role
We're looking for a second software engineer to join as our 3rd team member. You'll work directly with our founder and Head of Engineering to build the technical foundation of our company. This is an opportunity to have significant ownership and grow into a senior engineer or tech lead role as we scale. The role is in person at our New York City office in Hudson Yards.
What You'll Build

Platform Features: Core analytics engine that eye care practices rely on daily

EMR Integrations: Secure, HIPAA-compliant API connections to EMR systems

Data Infrastructure: Systems that transform unstructured clinical data into actionable insights

Agentic AI: Agents which scrub EMR data to surface critical insights and then act on them to improve clinical efficiency and outcomes
What We're Looking For

Exceptional software engineering capabilities, especially in Python

Health tech experience is a plus, but not required, as you'll work directly with a trained ophthalmologist in this role
