York is seeking a Data Analyst to lead data transformation efforts, system integrations, and reporting solutions that support engineering execution and product development. This role designs and maintains Python- and Power Query-based ETL pipelines, builds Power BI dashboards, and integrates data across engineering systems to deliver real-time business insights. In addition to analytics responsibilities, the role supports configuration management processes and secure data transfer operations to ensure compliance, data integrity, and knowledge continuity.
Responsibilities
Analytics & System Integration
- Develop data pipelines using APIs, webhooks, and databases from platforms like Jira, Arena, Dayforce, and Oracle.
- Design and implement Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) workflows using Python, Power Query, and other tools to transform and integrate data across enterprise engineering systems.
- Collaborate with Technical Project Engineers, Team Leads, Subject Matter Experts, to define KPIs, understand reporting needs, enhance data workflows, and implement system improvements.
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards that support visibility into KPIs, program status, milestones, and resource utilization.
- Automate the refresh and distribution of reports and engineering performance dashboards.
Configuration Management & Product Data
- Support configuration control processes, including processing engineering change orders and managing product BOMs within the Arena PLM System.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and documentation leads to ensure accurate release of technical data and artifacts.
- Assist in maintaining training materials and support adherence to Arena usage procedures and data governance policies.
Secure Data Handling & Compliance
- Execute secure transfers of data between classified and unclassified systems in accordance with DoD and NIST standards.
- Maintain audit logs and documentation related to data handling and transfers.
- Work with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure appropriate sanitization, classification markings, and secure workflows.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with sensitive data transfers and ensure operational continuity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Proficiency in Python, Power Query, and SQL for data transformation and modeling.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, databases, and enterprise platforms.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills; ability to translate requirements into data and process solutions.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage and validate high-integrity datasets.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with PLM or ERP systems
- Familiarity or Experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or technical roles supporting engineering operations.
- General understanding of cybersecurity best practices and risk management.
- Familiarity with Jira administration, configuration management principles, and documentation control.
- Active U.S. security clearance
