We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team. This individual will take ownership of marketing data initiatives end-to-end, working closely with marketing, creative, IT, and leadership teams to design and implement data-driven solutions. The Senior Data Engineer will build secure ETL pipelines, orchestrate workflows, and deliver actionable insights that drive growth. Most importantly, this role has the potential to evolve into a management position within 1–2 years, with the opportunity to build and lead a dedicated data team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own data initiatives across the full marketing cycle, from ad impression through sales-qualified leads.
- Design and implement secure ETL pipelines across third-party platforms, ad networks, and call center data.
- Deploy and manage Apache Airflow to orchestrate workflows and ensure data reliability.
- Partner with marketing and creative teams to implement event-driven automations and measurement frameworks for marketing initiatives.
- Ensure the marketing and creative teams data and measurement needs are serviced.
- Conduct experiments, analyze results, and present clear, actionable recommendations to business leadership.
- Work in an Agile environment using monday.com for planning, reporting, and delivery.
- Document processes, maintain organized systems, and ensure data security and governance best practices.
- Collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, serving as the data bridge across the organization.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Python, .NET, SQL, and data orchestration platforms preferably Apache Airflow.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Services, GCP, AWS, Snowflake, Datadog, and other frontier data orchestration and operations platforms.
- Proven experience building and managing ETL pipelines and data orchestration workflows.
- Hands-on expertise with Apache Airflow.
- Solid understanding of marketing analytics tools and ecosystems (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Klaviyo, Tag Manager, pixels).
- Ability to self-manage and take ownership of initiatives from start to finish, including investigating and interpreting legacy systems and not fully documented work from start to finish.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of working with both executives, marketing and creative teams including external and internal team.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong documentation practices.
- Experience in Agile processes and cross-functional collaboration, including basic experience in project management skills.
- Growth mindset with leadership potential to develop into a manager role within 1–2 years with a unique potential and trajectory to join senior IT leadership in the company over the next 5-10 years.
- Ability to breakdown high level business problems into detailed next steps and tasks in an organized and communicative manner.
