We are looking for a IT Business Intelligence Analyst in 401 N Michigan Ave, Suite 1400, Chicago, IL 60611 USA. Your mission will be to:
The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will be responsible for leveraging data to provide actionable insights, by developing and optimizing BI solutions. This includes integrating multiple data sources, designing user-friendly dashboards using BI and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau and similar tools), and enabling strategic, data-driven decision-making across the organization. The BI Analyst will play a key role in transforming raw data into meaningful visual representations and reports, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for business users.
The role will be located at our Chicago or Salt Lake City office.
YOUR PROFILE
Qualifications Required
Proficiency in Business Intelligence tools, with strong expertise in Tableau.
Advanced SQL knowledge (PostgreSQL or Oracle PL SQL experience preferred) for data querying and manipulation.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Data storytelling and visualization skills to present complex data in an understandable and actionable way.
Experience with data warehousing concepts and data modeling.
Strong documentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
Familiarity with data governance principles.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Qualifications Desired
Experience with cloud-based data platforms.
Prior experience working in global or multi-site organizations.
Experience with programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, R, or similar) for advanced analytics and data processing.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools, primarily Tableau, to meet business requirements.
Partner with stakeholders to understand business goals, gather requirements, and translate them into scalable BI solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives.
Work closely with ETL developers and data engineers to ensure data availability and quality for reporting and analysis.
Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure the accuracy and reliability of reports and dashboards.
Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and developed dashboards.
Document BI solutions, data sources, and reporting processes.
Assist in defining data governance best practices related to BI and reporting.
Support business users during planning of new process solutions by analyzing data points to identify Key Performance Indicators, trends, averages, and thresholds.
Other related duties as assigned.

Communication
Collaborates closely with the IT Data Manager and cross-functional stakeholders in Sales, Operations, Finance, and other departments to align BI initiatives with organizational priorities.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position primarily works in an office environment in which surroundings are usually comfortable. This position may spend long periods of time in front of a computer terminal. Physical dexterity is necessary to effectively manipulate a keyboard. The incumbent can expect extended time spent in a sitting position.
Travel
Occasional travel (up to 10%) may be required for site visits, IT audits, collaboration workshops, and training sessions.
Compensation Package Overview:
Compensation Range $75,000 - $85,000 annual salary USD
