Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analysis skills and a passion for transforming data into actionable insights. As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting decision-making processes by analyzing data trends and patterns, creating reports, and collaborating with various departments to enhance our data-driven strategies.
Responsibilities
Process Mapping and Optimization: Collaborate with Process SMEs to document and map current state processes, identifying inefficiencies and proposing improvements. Conduct moderately complex data profiling and analysis to evaluate data sources to determine the best source for business information
Business Requirements Gathering: Engage with stakeholders across finance, operations, and IT to gather and document detailed business requirements for new systems, processes, and data tools.
Testing and Implementation Support: Develop and execute test cases for new or updated finance systems and processes, providing post-implementation support to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise.
Communication Ownership: Take ownership of communication regarding the progress of initiatives aimed at improving treasury operations, ensuring transparency and engagement across teams and stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to processes, ensuring adaptation to changes in requirements, technology, and market conditions.
Ensuring Agile practices are followed: Participate in project management activities using Agile methodologies to ensure timely delivery of projects
Qualifications
7+ years of experience as a Business/Data Analyst, ideally in Treasury, FinTech, Payments, or Financial Operations roles.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively manage complex, cross-functional challenges.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business stakeholders, technical teams, and senior leadership—combining listening, advising, advising, and explaining capabilities.
A strong focus on continuous improvement and automation, demonstrating a passion for driving innovation within enterprise systems.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Proven track record in driving process changes and managing systems-based projects.
Familiarity with cash management, liquidity, reconciliation, and financial risk concepts is a MUST.
Must be extremely proficient in Data Warehouse ETL Design/Architecture, dimensional/relational data modelling.
Prior experience with database and model design and segmentation techniques.
Experience managing deliverables across multiple teams and balancing competing priorities.
Data warehouse experience with knowledge of SQL is a MUST.
Proficient in analytics programming languages (SQL/R/Python) and automation tasks will also be a plus
