We’re searching for a Principal Data Scientist to join our AI Foundations group. This team builds the machine learning and natural language solutions that power personalized features in our mobile app — from conversational assistants to recommendation engines. You’ll lead the charge in designing, training, and deploying cutting-edge NLP and generative AI models at enterprise scale.
Your Impact
- Lead the development of LLM and NLP solutions that improve how millions of people engage with their money.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and fellow scientists to launch scalable AI features.
- Apply advanced ML frameworks and tools like PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, AWS, and Vector databases.
- Translate complex modeling into clear, actionable insights for business leaders.
- Mentor peers and contribute to best practices in deploying AI/ML at scale.
What You’ll Bring
- Degree in a quantitative discipline (STEM preferred) with substantial experience in analytics, ML, or AI.
- Strong programming ability in Python, R, or Scala, with experience building and scaling ML systems.
- Proficiency with SQL and large, diverse datasets.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS ideal).
- Excellent communication skills to bridge technical insights with business goals.
Bonus Points For
- Experience training and fine-tuning large language models.
- Knowledge of advanced methods like RLHF, explainability, or self-supervised learning.
- A record of delivering production-ready AI models for enterprise applications.
- Building reusable platforms, libraries, or scalable solutions.
