🚀 Lead Data Engineer – Enterprise Platforms Technology (Plano, TX)

Are you excited by the challenge of turning complex data problems into elegant, scalable solutions? We’re looking for a Lead Data Engineer to join our Enterprise Platforms Technology team — a group that powers many of the most critical systems across the company.

In this role, you’ll design and deliver cloud-first, data-driven platforms that support millions of customers. You’ll mentor other engineers, set standards for high-quality development, and drive innovation in how data is stored, processed, and leveraged across the organization.

What You’ll Do

Lead the design, build, and support of modern data solutions in a cloud-native environment
Collaborate with product managers and engineers to solve real-world business challenges
Work with technologies such as Java, Scala, Python, SQL, Spark, Kafka, Hive, Hadoop, Redshift, and Snowflake
Build data pipelines, real-time streaming applications, and large-scale distributed systems
Apply best practices in coding, testing, and Agile development while mentoring teammates
Explore emerging technologies and contribute to internal engineering communities

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree
4+ years of hands-on application development
2+ years of experience with big data technologies
1+ year of professional cloud computing experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Preferred Qualifications

7+ years of software/data engineering experience with Python, SQL, Scala, or Java
4+ years with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Expertise with distributed tools (Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Kafka, EMR, etc.)
Strong experience in NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) and data warehousing (Redshift, Snowflake)
Linux/Unix skills, shell scripting, and Agile engineering practices

Compensation & Benefits

📍 Location: Plano, TX

💰 Salary: $175,800 – $200,700 annually
