About the Role
We’re seeking Full-Stack Engineers with strong programming skills and a passion for chess. You’ll play a key role in scaling our platform from thousands to millions of users worldwide — designing and building the next generation of chess tools and experiences.
This is a fast-paced role with high ownership and immediate impact. On any given day, you might:
- Collaborate with product and design to shape new features
- Implement robust backend APIs and real-time game infrastructure
- Build elegant, high-performance frontend interfaces seen by players across 190+ countries
- Solve large-scale technical challenges spanning low-latency systems, global data, and streaming
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience
- Proficiency with Vue.js and experience in .NET (C#)
- Strong programming fundamentals and ability to iterate quickly
- Proactive communication and creative problem-solving skills
- Experience with large-scale or complex systems
- Based in NYC or open to relocation
Nice to Have
- Ability to build mobile apps (Flutter or React Native)
- Familiarity with the competitive chess tech landscape
- Experience with chess development tools or libraries
