Summit Human Capital is seeking a 100% Remote Senior Data Engineer to join a fully virtual team. In this role, you’ll design and build scalable data solutions for a leading financial client, collaborating with some of the top engineers in the industry. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and data processing
- Experience designing, implementing, and consuming RESTful APIs
- Experience with relational databases such as SQL or Oracle.
- Strong understanding of API development and integration, including authentication and documentation
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
- Solid knowledge of data warehouses (on prem)
- Familiarity with best practices in data modeling, performance optimization, and workflow automation
Desired:
- Familiarity with the electrical utilities industry and related data systems
- Experience working within a DataMesh
Responsibilities:
- Manage portions of the data solution and work collaboratively with the team to create optimized data architectures and pipelines.
- Design data architecture and create technical specifications based on foundational knowledge of industry best practices.
- Implement and integrate data solutions based on architecture designs and technical specifications.
- Work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements and establish an implementation plan for the data development team.
- Recommend enhancements to data pipelines, data management processes, and suggest new ways to solve problems that arise from these processes.
- Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Automate data ingestion and transformation workflows.
