We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Center Engineer to support the operation, maintenance, and improvement of our data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience with hardware installation, troubleshooting, server and network equipment maintenance, as well as strong knowledge of power and environmental systems critical to data center uptime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain server hardware, storage systems, and network infrastructure.
- Monitor and manage data center environmental conditions (cooling, power, fire suppression, etc.).
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and system upgrades.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for equipment repairs and system installations.
- Implement and manage data center security policies and procedures.
- Ensure uptime and performance metrics are met through continuous monitoring and quick incident response.
- Manage cabling infrastructure (copper and fiber).
- Maintain documentation of data center assets, layout, and infrastructure.
- Support capacity planning and resource allocation (space, power, and cooling).
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide 24x7 support for critical incidents.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience in data center operations or infrastructure support.
- Experience with server hardware from vendors like Dell, HP, Cisco, etc.
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Basic understanding of power distribution systems and UPS.
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds, PRTG).
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good communication and documentation abilities.

- CompTIA Server+
- Cisco CCNA
- AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty
- Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Specialist
- Data Center Certified Associate (DCCA)
