Title: Financial Data Engineer

The Challenge:
As a Financial Data Engineer, you will play a key role in developing analytics products that provide insights into financial metrics and the customer journey. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality projects on time. You will also enable self-service tools for financial analysts and collaborate across teams to drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop models to represent current and future states, identifying gaps to support decision-making.
- Refine and enhance existing models to improve flexibility and alignment with evolving requirements.
- Participate in conceptual modeling, technical design, and project meetings to guide toward successful outcomes.
- Document solutions through design documentation, code comments, and presentations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, sales, and product to gather requirements and deliver insights.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Python, SQL/PLSQL, and big data technologies like Azure Databricks.
- Strong data modeling and performance optimization capabilities.
- Experience sourcing data from SAP HANA, SQL Server, and other databases.
- Familiarity with analytics reporting in sales, bookings, finance, and subscription domains.
- Ability to design and test ETL solutions, including metadata modeling and automation.
- Experience with Airflow or similar ETL orchestration tools (preferred).
- Knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI (a plus).
- Operational expertise in monitoring and troubleshooting services/applications.
- Understanding of system performance factors like memory, CPU, storage, and networks.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or a similar role.
