DATA ENGINEERS - TWO OPENINGS

Location: Nashville/Hybrid or Remote

Job Status: Exempt; Full-Time
Role Reports To: Director of Data Engineering

As Data Engineer at Embold Health, you will serve as a key contributor in the ingestion, aggregation, structuring and analysis of terabytes of healthcare and operational data. You will build complex ETL and ELT systems that make consistent, reliable data available for both our data science and healthcare analysis teams, as well as our core products, which present this analytic data to both consumer and sophisticated business user audiences. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Build data pipelines that transform and deliver structured and unstructured data into various parts of our ecosystem
Write complex ETL and ELT software using Azure Databricks and Apache Spark
Utilize Python, SQL and other data engineering tools to transform data
Understands and uses various data stores, including Databricks, Elasticsearch, and PostgreSQL
Foster a culture of teamwork, self-organization, and continuous improvement through innovative solutions
Assist teams in finding innovative and creative ways of solving problems

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum two years of working as a Data Engineer, Data Analyst, ETL Developer, or similar role.
Hands-on experience in a Microsoft Azure environment
Working experience in Python and Apache Spark
Prior experience with Databricks
Experience solving complex business problems
Tremendous motivator, extraordinary interpersonal skills working with engineers

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience with Elasticsearch for search
Prior experience with Azure, including Databricks on Azure and Azure Synapse DW

Working Conditions:

Onsite preferred 2 days per week
Fully remote for the right candidate if not based in Nashville, TN

What Embold Health Offers:

Base Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 per year, dependent upon experience and skills.
Annual performance-based bonus based on performance and a percentage of the base salary earned. First year’s bonus is prorated for your start date.
