Cape was founded in early 2022 by Palantir and Anduril alums with deep expertise in privacy and national security. While running Palantir’s US national security business, our CEO became passionate about privacy and security on mobile devices. Our mission is to be a force for good in global wireless.

About the Role

We're looking for passionate new college graduates to join our engineering team. You'll be a key part of our mission to bring privacy and security to the most essential technologies of our generation: the cell phone and the networks that connect them.

You'll get hands-on experience by shipping real features into production from day one. You'll work on backend platforms, full-stack web and mobile apps, or with our forward-deployed engineering teams. Our small, dynamic Series B startup is all about action and swift iteration. We believe in shipping fast, refining continually, and leveraging customer feedback to grow both our products and our people.

Creating full-stack applications to manage mobile devices for government organizations and enterprises.
Building exploit-resilient IoT networks for critical infrastructure.
Enabling secure mobile roaming for organizations that require greater privacy and security for their employees or devices, allowing for individuals to continue to operate mobile and IOT devices in geographic regions with compromised telecommunications infrastructure.
Scoping and creating mobile features with direct customer feedback.

What You'll Be Doing

Depending on your strengths and interests, you'll be involved in one or more of the following areas:

Backend Services: Building services in Go.
Full-Stack Development: Working with React and TypeScript.
Mobile Apps: Creating iOS/Android apps with Kotlin (Jetpack Compose) or Swift (SwiftUI) that interact with low-level OS APIs as well as the broader Telecommunications Identity Management Ecosystem.
Code Quality: Participating in code reviews to both give and receive feedback.
Customer-Centric Development: Talking directly to customers to understand problems and develop innovative solutions.
Collaboration: Working with other teams to build and ship high-impact features.

Who We're Looking For

You're a great fit if you're a new graduate with:

Strong Technical Skills: A solid foundation in data structures and algorithms in at least one programming language. You're comfortable translating product requirements into system designs and working solutions.
Effective Communication: You value input from others and have strong opinions, weakly held. This means you back up your decisions with data but are open to incorporating new information.
Problem-Solving Mindset: You're not afraid of working with customers in mission-critical situations to develop solutions to unsolved problems in this space.
Adaptability: You're flexible and thrive in a fast-paced environment with a strong bias for action. You also embrace our core value of oversharing to move fast and build consensus.

Bonus Points

You might be an even stronger candidate if you have:

Previous software engineering experience (internships, research projects, etc.).
Launched apps on the App Store or Google Play Store.
Experience with microservices deployed on the cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
Experience or passion for privacy-focused work or open-source contributions.
Experience with building products that interact with real-world physical systems.
