About The Job
Geo Data Science is a team of 70+ Data Scientists. We are a part of the GPIO (Geo Programs, Insights and Operations) organization, which builds and maintains the model of the world that feeds into a long list of products across Google Maps, Local Search, Ads, and Third party data clients.
We work with cross-functional teams (Product Management, Program Management, Engineering, Operations, etc.) across Geo on a variety of problems related to understanding the quality of Maps data, the connection between users and data quality, and how humans and automated processes impact the quality of our map.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$161,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Work with leadership teams to implement tracking and reporting of metrics across global programs. Work with large data sets, automate data extraction, build monitoring/reporting dashboards and high-value, automated Business Intelligence solutions (e.g., data warehousing and visualization).
- Design, develop and establish Key Performance Indicators to monitor the health of database assets and the performance of internal operations, putting data models and analytics in place that provide a platform for decision-making.
- Perform large-scale data analysis and modeling to identify opportunities for improvement and measure the impact of initiatives to make noticeable improvements based on impact and feedback.
- Prioritize and communicate user needs, make recommendations and drive implementation for product or process changes. Identify and prioritize top issues and key growth opportunities.
