Position Summary
The Data Analyst plays a key role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making across the organization. This role is housed within the IT department and primarily focuses on developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports. The analyst also serves as a backup administrator for HRIS user access and Microsoft Business Central, ensuring continuity and data integrity across platforms.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI to deliver real-time insights to business units.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into effective data visualizations.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across Power BI datasets using Power Query and DAX.
- Monitor and optimize Power BI performance and data refresh schedules.
- Support data governance and security protocols within the Power BI environment.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Serve as a backup administrator for HRIS user access, including provisioning, deactivation, and role-based permissions.
- Creating custom reports with UKG’s Business Intelligence tool.
- Assist with Microsoft Business Central user access and data validation tasks as needed.
- Troubleshoot access issues and escalate to appropriate IT support teams when necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with Microsoft Power BI, including data modeling, visualization, and DAX.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and Microsoft Business Central.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional IT team.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical data into business-friendly insights.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field (preferred).
