GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Support sales, operational, financial objectives by compiling, organizing and sharing data to support and help direct resource allocation and focus for the organization. In this role the individual will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and ensuring data accuracy at the customer and product/service level that make up the company’s rolling monthly forecast. This position will also drive continuous improvement to provide strategic recommendations and utilize business intelligence software to build dashboards for more accurate and consistent reporting. Furthermore, the successful candidate will analyze submitted data to validate the logic and identify inconsistencies or issues with submitted data and work with Sales to resolve. This candidate will be a key member to the operational excellence of the sales organization. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, analytical, and enthusiastic about solving complex problems to help our sales organization grow and succeed.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES

Distribute and consolidate the rolling sales pipeline forecast.

Use continuous improvement and user feedback to streamline the sales forecast input process to improve accuracy and effectiveness.

Constantly strive to improve the accuracy of the forecasts and automate as much as possible. This includes using historical seasonality to accurately break forecast down to a weekly basis.

Use dashboards to identify the root cause of deviations between forecasts and actual performance, and drive improvements to forecast accuracy each month.

Utilize Business Intelligence software to build dashboards for more accurate and consistent reporting to company leadership.

Analyze products at the Customer and product/service level to verify and forecast profitability.

Highlight any customer and product/service issues that project margin compression, communicate with the divisional managers, and provide insight to future adjustments needed to align with company goals.

Verify sales data integrity between various software systems.

Other analyses and support of the Sales, Management, and Operations functions as assigned.

Conduct training sessions of data analysis
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

Education in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or related focus

1-3 years of experience or relevant advanced degree

Proficient in Business Intelligence software.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

PowerBI experience required. Microsoft certification a plus.

Strong cognitive and analytical skills.

Excellent verbal and written communications skill set.

Must be able to handle sensitive and proprietary information in a confidential manner.

Ability to lead effective training sessions and conduct one-on-one training

Must have strong interpersonal skills, an ability to develop relationships within the organization, and strong business judgment to ask clarifying questions when data doesn’t look accurate.

EDUCATIONAL/PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or applicable experience

Provide acquisition support as needed, including some travel

Minimum 40 hours per week expected
