We are seeking a motivated
Data Scientist to join our Energy Analytics team. In this role, you will support client-facing projects that accelerate the transition to a smarter, cleaner electric grid. You’ll work across the full data pipeline—from engineering and analysis to visualization—while engaging directly with clients and project managers to implement high-impact solutions in distributed energy resources (DER), electric vehicle (EV) integration, and load flexibility.
This is a
entry-level role ideal for candidates with a master's degree in data science or a related field, and <1 year of professional experience, including internships.

What You Will Be Doing
- Support client projects across energy, electrification, and DER domains through:
- Data Engineering: Ingest, clean, and transform large datasets using Python, SQL, and Databricks
- Data Science & Analytics: Conduct exploratory analysis, build analytical models, and generate actionable insights
- Data Visualization: Develop clear, compelling dashboards and reports in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
- Attend regular client meetings and collaborate with project managers to understand goals, manage timelines, and incorporate feedback
- Translate client requirements into well-structured analytics tasks and deliverables
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while optimizing workflows for performance and scalability
- Manage and prioritize a diverse set of technical assignments across multiple projects
- Work with cross-functional teams including data engineers, scientists, and policy experts to ensure high-quality client deliverables
- Stay up to date on tools, trends, and best practices in energy analytics and visualization
What We Need You To Have (minimum Qualifications)
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field
What We’d Like You To Have
- 2+ years of professional or academic experience working with data pipelines, analysis, or dashboards
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience using Databricks, Power BI, or similar tools for data modeling and visualization
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to support client meetings and deliverables, and explain technical concepts/solutions to non-technical stakeholders
- Effective time management and ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Experience with large scale data analytics frameworks such as Apache Spark
- Experience working with Azure Databricks and one or more Azure specialty certifications (SysOps Administrator, Security, Advanced Networking, DevOps Engineer, Administration, Architecture)
- Proficiency in working with tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Proficiency with cloud networking (DNS, TCP, Firewalls, Proxy Servers, Load Balancing, VPN, and VPC), storage, security, and compute
- Experience working with and supporting Agile development teams.
- Ability to learn quickly, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/IT technology space.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$81,094.00 - $137,860.00
