Intrepid Studios is looking for an exceptional Software Engineer to develop MMO game launcher & patcher systems. As part of the Cloud Services team you will develop launcher & patcher algorithms, applications, cloud services, testers, monitoring systems, and documentation. You will monitor and measure the performance and reliability of those systems and provide metrics to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain MMO game launcher & patcher systems and cloud services
Develop and maintain applications, testing tools, automation tools, reporting tools, and documentation
Advise and guide the quality assurance team on effective testing strategies
Troubleshoot operational errors and performance issues
Effectively report reliability and performance metrics to stakeholders

Requirements

BS in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent
3+ years of experience
Proficiency in C++
Proficiency in C#
Proficiency in concurrent systems (multithreaded, asynchronous)
Proficiency in data structures and algorithms
Experience writing C# applications
Experience with basic networking (HTTP, HTTP/2, TCP, UDP)
Experience with Python
Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Preferences

Experience with game system architecture
Experience with Go
Experience with Cloud technologies like kubernetes

We offer competitive pay based on market standards plus a significant annual bonus structure. The base salary for this role is between $98,000 - $137,000, depending on skills and experience. Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall throughout the range based on these factors.
