Job Description
We are seeking a technically skilled, hands-on Data Strategy Analyst with deep expertise in Real-World Data (RWD) to support and scale our data operations. This role is pivotal in managing external data vendors, conducting data feasibility assessments, ensuring privacy compliance, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. Reporting directly to the VP of Product and Engineering, the Data Strategy Analyst will collaborate extensively across business units and with external data and technology partners, playing a key role in the acquisition, integration, and exploration of RWD assets.
To succeed in this role at EVERSANA Life Sciences, you should bring strong analytical capabilities, a deep understanding of healthcare data, and the technical proficiency to work across diverse data environments. You will be expected to combine data from multiple sources, support ad-hoc data requests, and build scalable solutions that empower teams across the enterprise.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Vendor Management & Data Acquisition

Serve as the primary technical liaison for RWD vendors, including Datavant, ensuring smooth onboarding, integration, and ongoing data delivery.

Administer data contracts, negotiate terms, and ensure timely delivery of datasets.

Evaluate new data sources for feasibility, quality, and relevance.

Lead data feasibility assessments and due diligence for new data sources, evaluating structure, completeness, and fitness-for-use.

Maintain a centralized inventory of RWD assets, including documentation, lineage, and usage guidelines.

Data Engineering & Exploration

Perform data pulls, transformations, and exploratory analyses to support ad-hoc requests.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver against requirements

Build solution/product prototypes using Snowflake, SQL, Python, and AWS.

Compliance & Governance
-
Ensure all data handling practices comply with HIPAA and internal privacy policies.

Partner with legal and compliance teams to maintain data governance standards.

Implement and monitor data de-identification, tokenization, and linkage processes in collaboration with privacy and security teams.

Support audits and risk assessments related to data access, usage, and vendor compliance.

Qualifications
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

Education bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technology, or Computer Science; Master’s degree preferred.

Experience and/or Training
-
5-7 years of relevant industry experience (Data Analysis, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical Consulting, Management Consulting, Market Research, Hospital systems, Payers, Enterprise level data-analytical solutions)
-
Deep understanding of Real-World Data (RWD) including claims, EMR, Labs, Registry, Affiliations, Formulary, and patient-level datasets.

Experience working with Datavant or similar data linkage platforms.

Strong understanding of HIPAA and data privacy regulations.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience with data contracting and vendor negotiations

Technology/Equipment

Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, SQL, Python, AWS, and Tableau

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $105,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
