Jonah Ventures is seeking a Junior Scientist with strong quantitative skills to join our team working at the intersection of ecology and molecular biology.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze ecological and molecular datasets using R
- Develop interactive applications and visualizations with R Shiny
- Contribute to the design and development of our data portal
- Process, organize, and manage data in cloud-based environments
- Work with relational databases and pipelines for large-scale ecological and genomic data
Qualifications
- Proficiency in R for statistical analysis and visualization
- Experience building R Shiny dashboards or applications
- Familiarity with cloud-based data processing, especially AWS
- Knowledge of relational databases and database queries
- Background in ecology, molecular biology, bioinformatics, or related field
Preferred
- Demonstrated experience with ecological or molecular datasets
- Ability to integrate data from multiple sources into analysis pipelines
- Strong communication skills for documenting workflows and results
