Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Business/Data Analyst to join our dynamic analytics and delivery team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams and clients, supporting data-driven decision-making, reporting, and compliance solutions. The ideal candidate is proficient in SQL and PostgreSQL (including working with JSON fields), has a keen interest in data analysis, and is eager to grow in client-facing roles. Exposure to AI/ML or life sciences compliance domains is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, especially within PostgreSQL environments, including queries using JSON/JSONB structures.
- Analyze structured and semi-structured data to identify trends, outliers, and business insights.
- Participate in client meetings, requirement discussions, and data validation walkthroughs to support solution delivery.
- Build, test, and maintain reports/dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel, and assist in performance monitoring.
- Assist in documenting business requirements, test cases, and data workflows.
- Support QA/UAT processes by validating data accuracy and providing support to end-users.
- Collaborate with internal delivery, product, and engineering teams to translate client needs into scalable analytical solutions.
- Assist in building training materials, FAQs, or user guides for client handoffs or knowledge transfers.
- Contribute to data preparation tasks for AI/ML models or internal prototypes (as needed).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, with hands-on experience using PostgreSQL, including handling JSONB data types.
- Solid analytical and logical reasoning skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with clients and internal stakeholders in a professional setting.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Exposure to AI/Machine Learning concepts or experience with Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
- Familiarity with life sciences or pharmaceutical industry, especially compliance areas such as:
- Risk Assessments
- Transparency reporting
- Monitoring, Auditing and Investigations
- Understanding of Agile tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
