You’ll be responsible for data-driven insights that enable our Neobanking efforts, by optimizing their processes and decisions, as well as building data-enabled solutions for the challenges we face. You will gather, organize, and aggregate large data sets to produce meaningful business insight and solve critical challenges that give us a competitive edge. At Uphold, you will be able to work in a very fertile environment to bring your ideas to life, while integrated in a fast-paced industry.
What you’ll be doing primarily:

- Implement and automate dashboards and reports that feed on data to support decision-making.
- Develop dashboards to support the monitoring of new features and new network integrations launched.
- Collaborate closely with Finance & Accounting and Product teams to identify data-enabled solutions to challenges such as cash flow management, reconciliation, risk assessment, and regulatory reporting.
- Build and communicate compelling financial data stories—clearly and concisely—both orally and via dashboards, visualizations, and reports that highlight profitability, risk, compliance, and growth opportunities.
- Design customized interfaces to expose internal data to key stakeholders.
- Guarantee data quality on both operational systems and offline datasets.
- Help data engineers with the design, implementation, and maintenance of data pipelines.
- Design and conduct A/B(/n) tests to evaluate and continuously improve neobanking services and products.
- Develop domain expertise on digitized financial assets to bring an advanced level of understanding to analyses.
- Contribute to the definition of overarching processes and practices across the Data Team and the rest of the company.
- Evangelize a data-driven culture throughout Uphold’s multiple business units.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, economics, statistics, informatics, data science, or engineering.

- Experience working with data warehousing solutions and leveraging data models in a cloud-based environment.
- Proven ability to transform the results of complex data transformation procedures into concrete decisions and actions.
- Ability to lead small projects from conception and design through implementation to delivery and communication.
- Drive to grow as a well-rounded data analyst in quantitative methods, software engineering, communication, and business.
- Creativity, curiosity, and a growth mindset.
- Team player with the ability to work within cross-functional teams.
- Value and results-oriented, with a keen eye for quality of deliverables.
- Fluent written and oral English skills.

- Fluency in cryptocurrencies, smart contracts, and other digitized financial instruments.
- Community talks, certifications, and/or blog posts on your areas of interest.
- Open-source project contributions of any kind, such as tools developed to solve specific problems you’ve had or fixing issues on existing projects.
Importantly, if you’re looking for a senior role with us, you will have achieved many of the things above while also providing mentorship to others, and have engaged in public speaking opportunities.
