Job Title: Lead Data Scientist
Location: Weston, FL (Onsite preferred – 8 AM – 5 PM EST)

W2: $55–$60/hour
1099/C2C: $70/hour (max)

Introduction
We are seeking a Lead Data Scientist to spearhead our data science initiatives, mentor a team of data scientists, and drive impactful, AI-powered solutions that support Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Product Development. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will work at the intersection of data science and business strategy, leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning to deliver measurable business growth.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
7+ years of experience in data science with a proven record of building and deploying ML solutions
Strong proficiency in Python, R, or similar statistical programming languages
Expertise in ML algorithms (regression, classification, clustering, deep learning, ensemble methods, time series analysis)
Hands-on experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
Strong SQL skills (including window functions, CTEs) and experience with relational/NoSQL databases
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and ML services (Vertex AI, SageMaker, Azure ML Studio)
Strong understanding of statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and data analysis
Experience developing and maintaining robust data pipelines
Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to business stakeholders
Leadership experience mentoring and guiding data scientists
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (US Citizen)
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a SaaS environment
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
Experience with NLP, LLMs, NLU, and RAG techniques (Generative AI)
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data scientists
Translate business problems into data science solutions in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
Design, develop, and deploy ML models and statistical solutions to solve real-world problems
Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ensure data quality
Evaluate, optimize, and monitor model performance in production
Promote best practices in data science development and foster a data-driven culture
Contribute to the strategic data science roadmap, aligning projects with business goals
