Job Summary
Supermicro is seeking for a highly analytical and results-driven RMA Data Analyst to lead data initiatives that drive product quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role serves as a critical link between data and decision-making, transforming complex return and warranty data into actionable insights that inform engineering improvements, reduce failure rates, and optimize reverse logistics. The ideal candidate will possess a strong command of data analytics, a deep understanding of RMA workflows, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams through compelling data storytelling.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of RMS data, from ingestion and validation to analysis and reporting, ensuring data integrity and consistency across systems
- Identify patterns and trends in products returns, including failure rates, return reasons, and customer feedback
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor RMA metrics and KPIs, support RMA operations, billing and inventory management to provide real-time visibility into RMA performance
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Repair, and Operations teams to align return data insights with business goals, process and customer experience improvements
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPI) related to RMA cycle time, discrepancy rate, and customer returns
- Maintain and improve data pipelines and automation for RMA reporting
- Identify inefficiencies in RMA workflows and recommend data backed process improvements to reduce turnaround time and cost
- Support management and operational decision making with ad-hoc data analysis and reporting
- Ensure RMA data reporting complies with internal policies and external regulations; maintain clear documentation of methodologies and findings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in RMA, warranty, logistics, or product quality environments
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas), SQL, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP) and RMA management platforms
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to translate complex data into clear business insights
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Salary Range
$75,000 - $125,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
