As a Data Analyst embedded within the Merchandise Sourcing and Product Development team, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing data related to retail products and packaging from a diverse global supply base. Your insights will directly influence sourcing strategies and product development, contributing to the company’s overall success. Collaborate with international suppliers and internal teams, driving data collection and ensuring seamless communication across the supply chain.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct in-depth data analysis, crafting insightful reports and visualizations that empower data-driven decision-making.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau and Power BI, effectively communicating key findings to stakeholders.
- Gather data from various sources, ensuring data quality and accuracy through meticulous filtering and cleaning processes.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand their data needs, translating complex data into actionable insights.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data analysis projects and processes, ensuring transparency and reproducibility.
Must-Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in data analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, data modeling).
- Proven experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage extensive datasets.
- Strong analytical skills, enabling you to identify trends and inconsistencies within data.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and solution-oriented approach.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with Python or other data processing tools.
- Familiarity with packaging materials and retail product categorization.
