IT Business Analyst
We are searching for an IT Business Analyst to provide application, project management and business process support to functional business units, franchise users, and the IT department. In this role you will gather and document business requirements, analyze processes, support commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and custom applications, and partner with developers, testers, and vendors to deliver technology solutions using project management skills as needed. The IT Business Analyst ensures systems are optimized to meet business and franchise needs, and system enhancements are successfully implemented.
What you will do:

Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for new functionality, enhancements, and process improvements.

Translate business needs into detailed specifications, including workflow diagrams and mockups, for technical teams.

Support COTS and internally developed applications by troubleshooting issues, escalating to vendors or internal teams as needed, and ensuring resolution within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Partner with stakeholders to evaluate business processes and coordinate initiatives that enhance revenue generation efficiency, automation, and cost savings.

Manage small to mid-size IT projects end-to-end, including scoping, planning, execution, and closeout.

Coordinate and communicate with development teams, testers, and business users on enhancements, upgrades, and fixes to ensure successful project completion.

Stay current with system changes, upgrades, and best practices, and communicate updates to stakeholders.

Regularly present on major brand initiatives and projects status, IT metrics to leadership and franchise network.

Prepare and maintain documentation, including process maps, requirement specifications, and training materials.

Work with other shared service teams for issue resolution.
- Support the creation and delivery of communication plans, webinars, and user training sessions as required.
What you will bring:

Bachelor’s degree in a functional/business area supported or in a related information technology field, or equivalent technical knowledge and experience.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable position.
- Experience with project management or a strong desire to learn and grow in project management responsibilities.
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
-
Solid understanding of IT solutions, systems, and processes, including familiarity with ITIL, Agile, or Kanban methodologies.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate needs and remove roadblocks.
-
Demonstrated ability to document business processes, requirements, and workflows clearly and accurately.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Customer-focused with the ability to build strong working relationships across departments and franchise operations.

Adaptability and intellectual agility to thrive in a changing business and technology environment.
Compensation Details:
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At SMB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is between $95,000 and $105,000.
Work Location: This role is 100% remote and can be based anywhere in the U.S., excluding Los Angeles County.
