The Role
We are seeking a Data Engineer with strong experience in Snowflake, Sigma, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. This role will design, build, and optimize the data pipelines that power our Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) dashboards, ensuring that leaders across the company have the insights they need to manage performance.
You will partner with operations, finance, and clinical leadership to create a unified data environment that integrates disparate systems into a single source of truth.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest, transform, and model healthcare data from EMR systems into Snowflake.
- Develop and optimize Sigma dashboards that deliver actionable RCM insights (authorizations, claims, denials, collections, A/R days, etc.).
- Collaborate with EMR vendors and internal stakeholders to establish secure, reliable data feeds (HL7, FHIR, APIs, and flat-file transfers).
- Ensure data quality, compliance, and HIPAA/HITECH security standards.
- Partner with revenue cycle leaders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and performance metrics.
- Monitor and improve system performance, scalability, and reliability across Snowflake and Sigma environments.
What you Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehousing and SQL.
- 2+ years of experience developing Sigma Computing dashboards or similar BI tools.
- 2+ years of experience working with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) data structures and healthcare data standards.
- Strong background in data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and pipeline orchestration (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Matillion, Fivetran).
- Familiarity with RCM workflows (claims, denials, billing, authorizations) is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, and HIPAA compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience presenting findings and building reports for senior leadership.
- Strong attention to detail, self-discipline, and deadline-driven work ethic.
- High emotional intelligence, professionalism, and willingness to collaborate and receive feedback.
