- Develop and maintain scalable and responsive web applications using modern web technologies
- Design and implement front-end and back-end components and services
- Collaborate with team members to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code while adhering to best practices
- Implement security and data protection measures
- Integrate third-party APIs and services as required
- Troubleshoot issues, fix bugs, and improve application performance
- Continuously learn and evaluate new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Participate in code reviews, discussions, and feature planning meetings
- Maintain and improve software development processes and practices
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- This job is 75% remote with 25% travel (about 3-4 times a year)
- 5+ years' experience in web development using front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, front-end frameworks)
- 3+ years' experience with back-end development and server-side languages/frameworks (Go, Python, and Node.js)
- Experience using libraries for building user interfaces
- Knowledge of Microservices, Docker Containers and cloud-native tools such as Kubernetes etc.
- Basic devops management; deploying servers and configuring SSL / DNS / Databases etc. Experience working with Amazon Web Services a plus.
- Ability to write basic CRUD queries for PostgreSQL, mySQL and mongodb
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Comfortable using unit and behavior test frameworks, libraries and tools
- Understanding of responsive design concepts and practices
- Familiarity with commercial and open-source development environments and tools for purposes such as source control, continuous integration, IDE etc.
- Exposure to Agile processes such as Scrum and Kanban
