About the Role:
As an entry-level engineer, you’ll join a small, collaborative team where you will quickly gain hands-on experience. You will contribute to building impactful features, fixing bugs, and helping Playbook continue to scale its innovative platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with a team of engineers (one senior and one mid-level) to build and resolve features, both new and existing.
- Collaborate with senior engineers in designing and implementing Playbook’s best-practice, Agile-based QA testing methodology, ensuring the highest quality results across all teams.
- Assist product and support teams in solving complex technical challenges.
- Help oversee workflows and processes that are critical to our clients’ and community’s ongoing success.
Requirements:
- Strong Python skills with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming and best practices.
- Experience with writing Python unit tests, especially in Django.
- A passion for working in Agile environments and being part of a collaborative team.
- Self-starter who is excited to take on new responsibilities and make an impact from day one.
- Comfort working in a cloud-based environment and understanding critical workflows.
- Familiarity with Git for version control.
- A basic understanding of relational databases and schemas (SQL knowledge is not required, but you should be comfortable working with database-driven applications).
- A relentless work ethic with a commitment to fast delivery without sacrificing quality.
