The Opportunity
Lead AI/ML development for StellarPay's financial intelligence platform, creating machine learning systems that process millions of transactions while providing personalized financial guidance through our AI assistant "George." You'll architect ML pipelines that work across diverse markets with varying data quality and regulatory requirements.
What You'll Build
Financial Intelligence Systems
- Design real-time fraud detection models processing thousands of transactions per second
- Build personalized financial recommendation engines for cross-border payments
- Create intelligent transaction routing algorithms optimizing for cost, speed, and reliability
- Develop predictive models for liquidity management across multiple currency pairs
AI-Powered User Experiences
- Build and train conversational AI models for financial guidance and support
- Create intelligent onboarding systems that adapt to user behavior and market context
- Develop ML-driven KYC/AML systems for automated compliance screening
- Design anomaly detection systems for transaction monitoring and risk assessment
Global ML Infrastructure
- Architect scalable ML pipelines handling multi-language, multi-currency data
- Build robust feature stores for financial data across emerging and developed markets
- Implement A/B testing frameworks for ML model performance optimization
- Create monitoring and alerting systems for model drift and performance degradation
Technical Challenges You'll Solve
- Building fraud detection models that work across vastly different transaction patterns globally
- Training ML models with limited labeled data in emerging markets
- Implementing real-time inference systems with sub-100ms latency requirements
- Creating explainable AI systems that meet regulatory compliance standards

What We're Looking For
Technical Excellence (5+ years)
- Strong experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
- Deep knowledge of production ML systems, MLOps, and model deployment
- Experience with real-time inference systems and streaming data processing
- Background in financial ML applications (fraud detection, risk modeling, algorithmic trading)
- Proficiency with cloud ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, GCP AI Platform, Azure ML)
Domain Expertise
- Experience with time-series analysis, anomaly detection, and sequential modeling
- Knowledge of NLP and conversational AI systems
- Understanding of financial regulations and explainable AI requirements
- Experience with multi-modal data processing and feature engineering
