Position Title: Contracts & Data Engineer – Maintenance and Construction
Position Summary:
The Contracts & Data Engineer provides essential support in the preparation, management, and administration of maintenance and construction contracts. Beyond tracking and updating records, this role takes an active hand in drafting contracts, developing templates, and helping to standardize processes across the organization. The Coordinator will also identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, technology, and innovative workflows.
This position is ideal for an organized, forward-thinking individual who can balance detail-oriented contract administration with a broader vision for process improvement. Salary and responsibilities will grow with education, licensing, and experience, aligned with Engineer I–IV equivalents.
Key Responsibilities:

Draft and edit contracts and supporting documentation to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance.

Coordinate with project managers to develop work scopes and proposal schedules for bidding.

Develop templates, checklists, and standardized formats to streamline contract workflows.

Collaborate with leadership to implement process improvements and ensure consistency across contracts.

Support the automation of routine tasks using technology and identify tools that increase efficiency.

Maintain and update contract and project databases; prepare summaries, logs, and reports.

Track timelines for renewals, amendments, and extensions, ensuring deadlines are met.

Assist with contract preparation, scheduling, and other administrative tasks.

Provide clear documentation of processes so that workflows are repeatable and sustainable.

Take ownership of assigned tasks while staying adaptable to shifting project priorities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong organizational and writing skills; ability to prepare clear, accurate contract language.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Bi, Outlook, PDF tools).

Engineer I: Bachelor’s in Engineering – New Graduate

Engineer II/III: Bachelor’s in Engineering – Three Years of Experience

Engineer IV: Licensed Engineer – Management
Salary: Commensurate with education, experience, and professional licensing.
Position Type and Hours of Work:

Full-time, Monday–Friday.

Must be available during Hawaiʻi Standard Time (HST) hours of work regardless of location.
