Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our team at The Amatriot Group. This is a long-term role supporting major clients in the telecommunications industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python-based automation, machine learning, and statistical modeling. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for building intelligent systems, streamlining workflows, and transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business outcomes. You will collaborate across teams to design predictive models, optimize data pipelines, and deliver advanced analytics solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Perform advanced data analysis and modeling to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business strategies.
Design, build, and deploy machine learning models for predictive analytics and classification tasks.
Develop and maintain Python scripts and SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
Implement automated workflows and end-to-end data pipelines using Python and shell scripting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into clear, actionable deliverables.
Apply statistical analysis and predictive modeling techniques to solve complex business problems.
Utilize data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau to communicate insights effectively.
Support cloud-based solutions (Azure preferred) for data storage, modeling, and reporting.
Stay up to date on emerging tools, methods, and best practices in data science and automation.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Data Scientist, Senior Data Analyst, or related role with a strong track record of project delivery.
Expert-level proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn) and strong skills in SQL for data manipulation and reporting.
Background in machine learning, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis.
Experience with automation, ETL processes, and shell scripting (Bash).
Familiarity with data visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
Exposure to cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
Knowledge of version control systems (GitHub) and collaborative development practices.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple deliverables.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $115,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
