Job Title: Senior Software Engineer
Location: Wauwatosa, WI – Hybrid/Remote
Travel: 1-2 times per year
Salary Range: $100,000-$140,000

Position Summary:

One Call Concepts is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Software Engineer as a new addition to our team. You will participate in an agile environment, driving technical design, development, and maintenance of our damage prevention platform. The ideal candidate will combine their technical expertise with a passion for learning and working in a team-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Work cross-functionally with teams overseeing application development, infrastructure setup, data administration, and security hardening
Prioritize increases in speed and reduction of complexity of product and feature delivery
Guide implementations in, and transitions to, public cloud platforms
Drive towards structuring and automating repeatable processes, driving testing, delivery, security, and other facets of the product by code whenever possible
Grow out observability and monitoring systems for streamlining product/platform health status updates
Support product deployments, including but not limited to executing, documenting, training, and troubleshooting
Research and experiment with new technologies, tools, and development techniques, sharing findings with the team
Serve as a mentor to team members on best practices and new technologies

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science plus 5+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrate a high level of creativity and problem-solving skills
Past experience with leading software development projects
Strong experience with web application development (e.g. Java (Spring), SQL (PostgreSQL), REST)
Experience with at least one common cloud platform (e.g. AWS, Azure)
Experience with web front-end technologies (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, React/Angular)
Prior experience with CI/CD automation systems (e.g. Gitlab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
Past experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash)
Past experience with DevSecOps and information security best practices is preferred
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
Comfort with working through and resolving ambiguity
