About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Android Developer with a proven track record of delivering complex, high-performance mobile applications at scale. This role requires deep technical expertise, architectural decision-making, and a commitment to building robust, maintainable codebases. You will be expected to operate with minimal supervision, set technical standards, and guide junior team members while driving innovation within our Android ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Architect, design, and develop advanced Android applications with a focus on scalability, performance, and security.
Own the entire application lifecycle: concept, design, build, deploy, test, release, and support.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Design, Backend, QA) to define and refine requirements.
Ensure adherence to clean architecture principles (MVVM/MVI/MVP), SOLID principles, and best coding practices.
Conduct rigorous code reviews, performance benchmarking, and refactoring of legacy systems.Implement automated testing strategies (unit, integration, UI) and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
Optimize application performance for responsiveness, battery efficiency, and stability across multiple device types.
Stay at the forefront of Android development trends, frameworks, and Google ecosystem updates.
Required Qualifications
5–7 years of hands-on Android development experience in enterprise-grade applications.Expert in Kotlin (primary) and Java, with deep knowledge of Android SDK and Jetpack components.
Proven experience designing and shipping at least 2 large-scale applications with 100K+ users (live in Play Store).
Strong understanding of Coroutines, Flow, Dependency Injection (Hilt/Dagger), and Jetpack Compose.
Hands-on expertise with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, Firebase services, and offline-first mobile design.
Mastery of design patterns, multi-threading, concurrency, and memory management.
Strong background in application security, including secure data storage and API handling.
Proficiency with Git, CI/CD tools, automated testing frameworks, and performance monitoring tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently make critical technical decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
Contributions to open-source Android libraries or community projects.Experience with modular app architectures, multi-module builds, and Gradle optimization.Knowledge of cloud-native integration (AWS, GCP) and modern DevOps practices .
Job Type: Contract
Base Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
