Data Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer (US candidates only) to join our dynamic West Coast team near Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The successful candidate will design and implement robust data solutions, ensure data accuracy, and optimize data flow to support efficient and secure access across systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, construct, test, and maintain data architectures, including databases and large-scale processing systems.
- Enhance data reliability, efficiency, and quality through innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with data scientists to implement algorithms and analytical models.
- Design and implement secure, scalable data storage solutions.
- Develop custom software components and analytics applications.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant data regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2+ years of experience with MSSQL (on-premises and Azure).
- 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Fabric (required).
- 1+ year of experience with Python (Jupyter Notebooks).
- Proficiency in Azure Data Tools (e.g., VSCode, Azure Data Studio, SSMS).
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating large datasets with attention to detail.
- Excellent customer-facing communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- 2+ years of experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- 1+ year of experience with Power BI.
- 1+ year of experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or GitHub.
- Familiarity with Azure Functions and PowerApps.
- Experience with Lake Database, Lakehouse, or data warehouse design and implementation.
- Knowledge of RESTful services, GraphQL, Exploratory Data Analysis techniques, or Agile methodologies.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour (1099 contract).
