Job Title: Power Automate Engineer

We are a high-performing and rapidly growing Fortune 500 company. This is a 1-year contract to hire position requiring one to live in either the USA. This position prefers one living locally but will consider remote workers able to travel (company paid) to our offices one week per quarter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Power Automate Development: Design, implement, and maintain automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate, including both cloud-based and desktop flows, to optimize business processes and reduce manual effort.
- Desktop Automation (RPA): Develop and deploy robotic process automation (RPA) solutions utilizing Power Automate Desktop, focusing on automating legacy applications, screen scraping, and UI interactions.
- Copilot Studio Agent Development: Build and configure intelligent agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio, integrating natural language understanding (NLU), decision-making capabilities, and external data sources to create responsive and adaptive AI agents.
- Integration & API Management: Develop and manage integrations between automation workflows and various systems, including Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, SharePoint, and third-party applications, ensuring seamless data flow and process automation.
- AI & Automation Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities, design scalable solutions, and implement best practices for AI-driven process automation.
- Governance & Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for automation solutions, ensuring adherence to governance standards, version control, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate, including both cloud and desktop automation. Experience with Copilot Studio or similar AI agent development platforms is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Power Automate Desktop and cloud-based workflows.
- Strong understanding of RPA concepts and UI automation techniques.
- Experience with API integrations and data handling (JSON, XML, SQL).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot Studio, including agent creation, NLU configuration, and skill integration.
- Knowledge of Azure AI services and their integration with automation solutions.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate or similar certifications.
- Experience: Prior experience in developing AI agents using Copilot Studio or similar platforms.
- Additional Skills: Familiarity with other RPA tools (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere) and understanding of enterprise automation governance frameworks.
