Job Summary: The Data Scientist plays a key role in transforming raw data into actionable insights. This position focuses on cleaning and processing structured and unstructured data, building automation workflows, and improving data systems. You’ll also collaborate on end-to-end solution development to make our data operations more efficient and impactful.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain Python workflows for text and image data processing
- Work with data engineering and IT teams to ensure data is available and reliable
- Support improvements to data science workflows and best practices
- Document methods, assumptions, and limitations of data processes
- Monitor data quality and ensure integrity across sources
- Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of end-to-end data solutions, from data collection and processing to analysis and reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
- 5+ years experience working with data analytics tools
- Hands-on experience with data processing and feature engineering
- Expertise with Python is required to build and maintain workflows (3+ years of experience utilizing python)
- Exposure to AI or machine learning or deep learning is strongly preferred
- Text processing and natural language processing are strongly preferred
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel, leveraging complex formulas and VBA macros to automate workflows and perform high-volume data analysis
- Knowledge of PII, PHI, GDPR, FERPA, and other data privacy regulations is a plus
Compensation: The annual starting salary for this role is $70,000 with compensations of an equity package as well as a quarterly bonus. This includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Typical Schedule: This is full-time, fully onsite, and we prefer local candidates. This position may require the employee to remain in the office beyond standard working hours until all essential duties and assignments are completed. Work hours may vary depending on workload and business needs.
