Job Summary

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a highly analytical and strategic professional to support the development and execution of credit risk strategies. This role focuses on identifying portfolio risks and opportunities, leveraging data-driven insights, and influencing key business decisions to ensure sound credit performance across the organization.

What You’ll Do

Apply advanced analytical and industry best practices to assess portfolio performance, identify risk trends, and develop actionable strategies that enhance credit outcomes.
Synthesize complex data to uncover root causes, evaluate emerging risks, and deliver clear, strategic recommendations to senior leaders.
Support the design, execution, and monitoring of credit risk strategies by conducting in-depth data and process analyses, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Leverage competitive insights and market intelligence to inform portfolio strategy and enhance decision-making.
Utilize quantitative methods and modeling techniques to evaluate credit performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop and present comprehensive financial and risk reports to management, highlighting key metrics, portfolio sensitivities, and emerging risks.
Collaborate cross-functionally to define credit strategy requirements, ensuring proper implementation and adherence to governance standards.
Use programming tools such as SAS, SQL, and Python to extract, analyze, and interpret credit data effectively.
Ensure all activities comply with internal controls, risk management frameworks, and applicable regulatory requirements.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).
2+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics, credit risk management, or financial modeling.
Working knowledge of banking regulations, compliance, and risk governance frameworks.
Proficiency in SAS, SQL, and familiarity with Python or business intelligence tools such as Tableau.
Ability to translate analytical findings into actionable strategies and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What Sets You Apart

Strong expertise in credit risk analytics across consumer lending or deposit products.
Experience designing and optimizing underwriting strategies and risk management frameworks.
Familiarity with advanced modeling techniques such as difference-in-differences or fixed/random effects models.
Proven ability to craft clear and compelling presentations for executive-level audiences.
Prior military service or military spouse/domestic partner experience is a plus.
