The Role
As a Machine Learning Engineer (Speech Recognition), you’ll be part of a small, high-performing team building and optimizing models that directly improve the lives of clinicians. You’ll work end-to-end — from evaluating open-source models to optimizing large-scale inference systems — while collaborating with some of the brightest minds in applied AI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and fine-tune open-source speech recognition models to enhance quality and capabilities.
- Optimize inference infrastructure (WhisperX, Kubernetes, NATS) for scalability and performance.
- Collaborate across engineering teams to integrate large language models into production applications.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of software or machine learning experience, including 2+ years working directly with speech recognition models.
- Strong Python skills; familiarity with PyTorch, Kubernetes, and model deployment workflows.
- A track record of top performance and a passion for mission-driven, fast-paced environments.
- Bonus: Experience with TypeScript, LLM evaluation, or synthetic data generation.
