Summary

Experienced Business Analyst specializing in Bill of Materials (BOM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, with a strong foundation in Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations. Supports seamless setup, release, and maintenance of product data across engineering, supply chain, and production environments. Ensures product configurations, documentation, and materials data are accurate, compliant, and efficiently integrated between PLM and ERP systems to enable smooth manufacturing execution and supply chain readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain BOMs, part numbers, and product configurations within the PLM system, ensuring alignment with supply chain and manufacturing requirements.
Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and change management workflows; coordinate implementation across global engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
Ensure data integrity and synchronization between PLM and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) to support procurement, production planning, and material availability.
Collaborate closely with engineering, supply chain, procurement, and manufacturing teams to validate product readiness for production release.
Analyze and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as BOM accuracy, part setup timelines, and change order processing efficiency; generate insights to drive supply chain and manufacturing performance improvements.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation for BOM, PLM, and manufacturing data management processes.
Participate in UAT testing, data validation, and process improvement initiatives for PLM system enhancements impacting supply chain and manufacturing workflows.
Provide end-user training and support for PLM, ERP, and BOM processes across supply chain and production teams; assist in resolving system or data discrepancies.
Partner with manufacturing operations to streamline product data flows, minimize production downtime due to data errors, and improve change implementation cycle times.
Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance product data accuracy, reduce supply chain risks, and improve manufacturing process efficiency.

Required Qualifications

3–6 years of experience in Business Analysis, Configuration Management, Product Data Management, Supply Chain Operations, or Manufacturing Support roles.
Proficiency with one or more PLM systems (PTC Windchill, Siemens Teamcenter, Aras, or Oracle Agile PLM).
Strong understanding of BOM structures, part lifecycle, change control processes, and their downstream impacts on supply chain and manufacturing.
Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), especially modules related to item master, inventory, and production.
Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally with manufacturing, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure product readiness and data accuracy.
Strong analytical and data management skills; proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and SQL preferred.
Excellent communication and documentation skills to support coordination between engineering, supply chain, and production stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Skills

Experience in PLM implementation, data migration, or system administration.
Knowledge of CAD data integration, engineering documentation, and manufacturing change control processes.
Familiarity with Python, VBA, or Shell scripting for automation of data validation or BOM uploads.
Exposure to Power BI or Tableau for supply chain and production analytics and reporting.
Understanding of manufacturing process flows, material planning, and supplier collaboration in a PLM/ERP environment.
