This is a hybrid position.
We’re looking for a Data Scientist (with strong Data Engineering roots) — a professional who thrives at the intersection of data infrastructure and advanced analytics. The ideal candidate combines hands-on experience in building and optimizing data pipelines with the curiosity and rigor of a data analyst or scientist. This role will focus on transforming raw data into actionable intelligence by designing scalable data solutions, performing deep analyses, and contributing to data-driven strategy across the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):
All lawful directives of your supervisor or a member of Company management.
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient data pipelines using SSIS and Azure Data Factory

Develop and enhance dashboards and reports in Power BI and SSRS to support data-driven decision-making

Conduct data exploration and analysis to identify trends, correlations, and anomalies

Manage and optimize data within SQL Server (on-prem and Azure) to ensure performance and reliability

Partner with business and analytics teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions and insights

Contribute to data architecture improvements and best practices for data governance and quality

Document data flows, logic, and processes for transparency and reproducibility
Required Skills
- High-level SQL skills for querying, optimization, and data modeling

Proven experience with SSIS for ETL development and orchestration

Proficiency in Power BI for visualization and data modeling

Familiarity with Azure Data Factory for cloud-based workflows

Strong understanding of data transformation and cleansing principles

Analytical mindset with the ability to draw actionable insights from complex datasets

Excellent communication skills — able to collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders

Demonstrated curiosity and continuous learning in data science, analytics, and AI technologies
QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or related roles

Exposure to data science concepts such as predictive modeling, feature engineering, or machine learning

Experience with Python or R for data manipulation, analysis, or model development

Knowledge of SSRS report design and publishing

Familiarity with Azure analytics ecosystem (e.g., Synapse, Databricks, Machine Learning Studio)

Ability to work independently on research or proof-of-concept projects

Understanding of data storytelling and visualization best practices

For New York, the expected salary range for this position is between $125,000 and $150,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law.
