About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Credit Strategy Data Scientist to join our Credit Risk Strategy team. In this role, you will design, analyze, and optimize data-driven credit risk strategies that balance growth and loss control across a digital payments environment. You will collaborate with product, risk, and engineering teams to develop insights and predictive models that directly impact business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, test, and refine data-driven credit risk strategies to detect and mitigate potential losses.
Analyze large, complex datasets to identify loss patterns and emerging trends in customer behavior.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance risk control systems and improve decision automation.
Create dashboards and visualizations (e.g., Tableau) to monitor KPIs and communicate insights to stakeholders.
Lead analytics projects from hypothesis development to execution, presenting clear, actionable outcomes.
Support the design and implementation of predictive algorithms that drive customer eligibility and credit outcomes.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Mining, or a related quantitative field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in risk analytics, data science, or data analysis within the fintech or online payments industry.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, and core data science libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
Experience with large datasets and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
Ability to communicate analytical results clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong business acumen and comfort working with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

Experience with AWS or other cloud data environments.
Familiarity with credit products, payment rule systems, or loss mitigation modeling.
Proven ability to translate complex data insights into strategic business decisions.

Expected Outcomes (6–12 Months)

Develop interactive dashboards and KPIs to monitor credit strategies and loss performance.
Deliver actionable insights that optimize credit risk management and customer experience.
Collaborate effectively across teams to design and implement scalable, data-informed strategies.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
